Aimhigher Roadshow Visits Crossways
The National Aimhigher Roadshow recently visited Crossways to increase the awareness of students about Higher Education. The high – tech vehicle with plasma screen, notebook laptops and other modern electronic gadgets hosted several groups of students on the day. The students were inspired by a fast paced presentation given by a recent graduate about her experience at university. Using hand – held voting pads, students were able to answer questions and give their opinion about higher education at the touch of a button.
The high – tech vehicle and relaxed environment with bean bags made the roadshow a great resource that can positively influence young people’s futures. Aimhigher is a national programme which aims to widen participation in higher education by raising HE awareness, aspirations and attainment among young people.
