French AS consists in studying four general topic areas through the language skills of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You need to be interested in the contemporary society and cultural heritage of French speaking countries or communities. You will also be able to develop language skills that enable you to communicate effectively and confidently in French.

Year 1 – AS Level
Youth, Culture and Concerns
Lifestyle, Health and Fitness
The World Around Us; Travel, Tourism, Environmental Issues and the French Speaking World
Education and Employment.
Year 2 – A2 Level
Customs, Traditions, Beliefs and Religions
National and International Events; Past, Present and Future
Literature and the Arts.
Assessment will be by a combination of written and oral examinations
Progression to university degrees in French, Languages or other related subjects.
Direct entry into employment in exciting places abroad or with international organisations.
AS Level: Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (including French)
A2 Level: AS Level at grade E or above.
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
