Media Level 2 National Certificate
This is a practical work related media course. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the media employment area, you will develop the skills that you need to start a career.
What will I be doing?
You will complete six units overall
Introduction to the Media
Pre – Production
Introduction to Production
Marketing and Presenting a Media Product.
How will I be assessed?
The work for each unit is submitted as a portfolio and all the units are assessed.
Where do I go from here?
Progression to more advanced studies like the BTEC National Certificate in Media or A’ Levels
Direct entry into employment within the industry.
Entry requirements
BTEC Foundation Certificate in a related area
Other related Level 1 or 2 qualifications
Four GCSEs at grade D, and a good standard of literacy and numeracy
