Performance Studies is a multi – disciplinary subject that develops qualities of imagination, sensitivity and artistic knowledge and understanding. Students acquire skills in each of the art forms of Dance, Drama & Music and study approaches that unite them. They gain understanding of performance theory and develop the ability to discuss their practical work using appropriate technical and expressive language.

Year 1 – AS Level
Unit G401: Creating Performance
Unit G402: Performance Contexts 1
Year 2 – A2 Level
Unit G403: Performance Contexts 2
Unit G404: Performance Project
The units are assessed by a combination of written examinations and performances.
Progression to university degrees in Dance, Drama, Music, Performing Arts or related subjects.
Direct entry into employment within the Arts sector in a variety of roles.
AS Level: Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (must include English Language). A grade C in one or more of the three art forms is desirable, but not compulsory you will need to have aptitude in the creative arts.
A2 Level: AS Level at grade E or above.
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
