Accounting is the study of the financial aspects of business. Students studying accounting will consider how accounting helps in measuring, monitoring and planning of successful business operations. Year 1 – AS Level
Unit 1: Introduction to Financial Accounting
Unit 2: Financial & Management Accounting
Year 2 – A2 Level
Unit 3: Further aspects of Financial Accounting
Unit 4: Further aspects of Management Accounting
Year One AS Level: Units 1 & 2 will be assessed by examination.
Year Two A2 Level: Units 3 & 4 will be assessed by examination.
1. Progression to university degrees in Business Studies, Accounting or other business related subjects or Higher Nationals in Business.
2. Direct entry into employment within business in a variety of roles such as marketing, accounting, customer services, human resources and administration.
AS Level: Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (preferably to include Mathematics)
A2 Level: AS Level at grade E or above
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
