Chemistry is the study of the elements and their compounds. It is a science subject, so practical work is an important part of the course. It is essential for the medical field, pharmacy and environmental science.

Year 2 – A2 Level

Unit 5: Equilibira, Energetics and Elements
Unit 6: Practical Skills in Chemistry 2
Coursework and external examination
Progression to university degrees in healthcare professions such as medicine, graduate nursing, clinical trials, pharmacy, anaesthetists and other related areas.
Direct entry into employment within industry in a variety of careers.
AS Level : Five GCSE grades A* to C, including at least double science grade BC, Mathematics grade C and English Language grade C.
A2 Level: AS level grade D or above
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
