Critical Thinking AS
Critical Thinking is the analytical thinking which underlies all rational discourse and enquiry. It is characterised by a meticulous and rigorous approach. As an academic discipline, it is unique in that it explicitly focuses on the processes involved in being rational. AS Critical Thinking is offered mainly as an additional option for gifted and talented students, to complement and support their A’ Levels
What will I be doing?
Unit 1: Introduction to Critical Thinking
Unit 2: Assessing & Developing Argument
How will I be assessed?
Both units are assessed by written examination.
Where do I go from here?
Progression to university degrees in analytical subjects.
Direct entry into employment in a variety of roles.
Entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (preferably to include English Language)
