Philosophy is an enquiry into the nature and extent of our knowledge and beliefs. Studying philosophy will contribute to your understanding of the world around us. It will look at spiritual, moral, ethical and social issues as well as the relationship between our minds and bodies, God, religion and ethics.

Year 1 – AS Level
Unit 1: Introduction to Philosophy
Unit 2: An Introduction to Philosophy
Year 2 – A2 Level
Unit 3: Key Themes in Philosophy
Unit 4: Philosophical Problems
Each unit is assessed by an examination.
Progression to university degrees in Philosophy or related subjects.
Direct entry into employment in a variety of roles
AS Level: Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (including English)
A2 Level: AS Level at grade E or above.
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
