Psychology is the science of behaviour and experience. It looks at why people behave the way they do and examines the underlying reasons. It cuts across every avenue of life and is considered to be one of the most applicable A’ levels of life

Year 1 – AS Level
Unit 1: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology & Research Methods
Unit 2: Biological Physiological, Social Psychology & Individual Differences
Year 2 – A2 Level
Unit 3: Three or more topics from: Biological Rhythm, Sleep & Dreaming; Relationships; Eating Behaviour; Intelligence & Learning; Perception; Aggression; Gender and Cognition & Development.
Unit 4: Psychopathology, Psychology in Action and Research Methods.
Each unit is assessed by an examination
Progression to university degrees in Psychology or related subjects.
Direct entry into employment in a variety of roles
AS Level: Five GCSEs at grades A* - C (including English and Mathematics)
A2 Level: AS Level at grade E or above.
AS Level – 1 Year
AS & A2 Levels – 2 Years
